• This attachment, originally designed for transsphenoidal hypophysectomy is used for all prone position procedures.
• It is attached to the adjustable basic unit by means of transitional member and the gardner clamp adaptor.
• The skull clamp has the additional feature of a swiveling c-arm.
• This swiveling capacity greatly facilitates positioning the pins on the head around nerves, vessels, and thin bone in the temporal region.
• For better result, the arm is locked by control knob and the width is adjusted by ratchet mechanism.
• It is padded with soft, pliable sponge rubber for equalized weight distribution and incorporates the new quick -change pads.
• The horseshoe width can be quickly adjusted to accommodate various head sizes.
